Current students and recent graduates of reading specialty programs or elementary education majors with a reading focus are needed to meet the demands for tutors in this area! I am a solo tutor at the moment, but I receive so many requests from my many referral sources that I cannot fit them into my schedule. I do not have time to train tutors, so you must have a firm grasp of the current science of teaching reading and either have your materials or be comfortable with all or some of the following: IMSE materials, Orton Gillingham resources, Handwriting Without Tears, The Writing Revolution, Equipped for Reading Success by David Kilpatrick. I am more than willing to hear from you about your preferred resources! I may have more years of experience, but I honor your recent hard-earned knowledge!
